Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education in Human Services or acceptable equivalent/related experience.
• Working knowledge of the Child Welfare Legislation and Standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in documentation and report-writing.
• Effective use of computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic mail.
• Ability to set and meet deadlines.
• Ability to implement program policies and protocols.
• Experience with group facilitation; decision-making; taking initiative; problem-solving, leading, planning, coordinating and facilitating meetings; de-escalating conflict; and providing solutions.
• Excellent case and file management skills; stress management; time management; and documentation detail.
• Knowledge/understanding and willingness to promote culturally sensitive services for families.
• Able to maintain effective working relationships with Indigenous and non-Indigenous mandated agencies.
• Understanding of Indigenous values and family issues.
• Respectful to engage people/families and build effective relationships.
• Must have a valid Manitoba driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• Must provide a current (within the last three months) Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Query & Child Abuse Registry and be subject to Prior Contact Check.
